Rippin and Roarin in 2014

The Shamrock Centre in Killarney will be hosting a rowdy fund raising event on Friday evening.

The 6th annual Rippin and Roarin Bull RIiding will be back in town and organizers expect it will be as popular as ever.

Brian Lepoudre is Recreation Manager at the Shamrock Centre and he points out the last number of years the show has attracted great corwds and raised a lot of money.

"It's actually quite popular with area residents and we get well over 1,000 patrons every year we put this on."

Lepoudre says the addition last year of the saddle bronc and bareback riding was a nice addition as well. "So now you get to watch the rider on some bulls and thebn some horses."

Lepoudre says the doors at the Shamrock Centre open at 5:30 and the bull riding starts at 7:00pm. He encourages people hoping to land a seat close to the action to come out early because the seats go fast.

The event is a fund raising program will all profits going to the local fire fighters and the agricultural society.
