For the second week in a row a winter storm forced the cancellation of the regular sale at Killarney Auction Mart.

Owner Allan Munroe says he’s never seen anything like it. “You know we had been tracking the storm system and by Sunday we again felt it wasn’t worth having people and livestock out on the roads so we decided to call it off for a second week in a row.”

Munroe will hold a sale on Thursday February 7th and he expects to put close to 1,300 head of cattle through the sales ring later this week.

“I was out cleaning pens and we had 8-10 inches of snow and it would have been a real mess if we had tried to move forward with the sale this past Monday.
