People picking up their mail last week would have received a survey from the Turtle Mountain Community Development Committee.

The group has been putting a “Quality of Life” survey together for several months. Christie Paskewitz-Smith is Boissevain-Morton’s Community Development Officer and she’s hoping people will take time to fill out the survey which contains 39 questions.

“The survey is being used as a way to evaluate our community as a place to live, learn, work and grow so generally everything that matters to you and things that impact your day to day living determines your community’s quality of life.”

The survey includes demographic information, information that would help the municipality, council, recreation and community development.

“In putting the survey together we basically just want to know what people think of our community and what would make it a better place to live or move to in the future. What are our strengths and what can we do to make improvements.”

The survey must be filled out and returned by March 3rd.

“Printed copies went out in the mail in Boissevain. There are copies of the survey available at the municipal office or at Hazlewood Drugs. The survey is also available online at so you can do it online through that link.
