Spruce Woods Provincial Park will be hosting its annual winter survival program on Saturday, November 17th.

The Park’s senior interpreter is Jennifer Bryson and she says the survival program is always a popular one. “We expect to see closet to 100 people out going through the various stations.”

What would you do if you found yourself stranded in the woods? Cycle through each station and learn various skills and techniques to prepare you to survive in the wild, including water purification, fire starting, shelter construction, snares and wildlife identification and emergency kits.

Bryson says more people are showing an interest to get back outside and to enjoy the outdoors and what Manitoba has to offer.

People interested can still register with the Park by calling 204-827-8850
