A by-election is taking place Wednesday, March 17th in the Municipality of Grassland.

Voters in the municipality will select a new reeve today.

A by-election is being held to fill the vacancy and to complete the term that runs through to October of 2022.

Former Ward 3 councillor Ruth Mealy and Nick Nowazek are on the ballot.

Polls are open from 8:00a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and voting takes place at Minto’s United Church, the Elgin Hall and Hartney’s Centennial Centre.

The by-election was called after long time Reeve Blair Woods passed away late last year.
