Funeral For:  Agatha Wall

Agatha Wall, 92, of Winnipeg formerly of Steinbach, Zhoda, and Pansy, passed away Sunday, April 21st at Seven Oaks Hospital. She is survived by 1 daughter, 1 son, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob, 1 sister, and 3 brothers. 
The funeral service for Agatha Wall will be held Monday, April 29th at 1pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Avenue, with burial at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery south of Steinbach on Highway 12. 
Viewing will be at the church half an hour prior to the service. 
Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Agatha Wall (nee Eitzen) on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Agatha will be lovingly remembered by her children; Trevor (Irene), Delema (Larry), her grandchildren; Brendin, Tyler (Alanna), Kayla (Jeremy), her great grandchildren; Keyairah, Ryland, Maverick, Pierce and Dion. She also leaves numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Wall, her parents Cornelius and Katherine Eitzen, Brothers Jack, Henry, Peter, her sister Anne and extended family Ruth Adams.
Agatha was born on January 24, 1932, in Lena, MB (Turtle Mountain). She was the fourth of five children. At the age of 17 her family moved to Winnipeg where she worked at Eaton’s, Donald Drugs, Office Overload and Federated Co-op in various administrative positions.
In 1952, she married Jacob Wall. In 1962, they moved to the farm in Pansy, MB. Together with her husband Jake while farming they started Square Deal Auto Wrecking. Agatha loved the farm life, attending to her chickens, gardening and sewing. She was an excellent cook. No one that came for a visit went away hungry. Then in 1979, Agatha and Jake bought the restaurant in Zhoda and renamed it “Square Deal Service”.
After Agatha retired in 1995, she and Jake lived in Zhoda, MB., in their dream house until his passing. She later moved to Steinbach and then to Winnipeg.
Agatha led a devoted Christian life. She really enjoyed her weekly bible study groups, reading scripture, Sundays at church and sharing the Lord’s word. When she was still able she volunteered once a week at the MCC Thrift Shop in Steinbach and Winnipeg.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Ave, Winnipeg, MB., with viewing half hour prior to the service, followed by a reception.
Interment at the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery south of Steinbach.
