Assault by choking.

On May 20th at 7:17 pm Police received a call reporting a 36-year-old female had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. A 36-year-old male was arrested as he had choked the female and threatened her with a knife. The accused was held for court on May 21st, 2024.

Theft Under $5000

On May 20th at 9:39 pm Police were dispatched to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue for a female that had filled a bag with cosmetics and fled. An 18-year-old female was located a short distance away with the stolen merchandise. She was also found to be in possession of three debit cards belonging to other people as well as bear spray, a folding knife, three sets of pliers and .5 grams of meth. The accused was held for court on May 21st, 2024.

Breach of Peace

On May 20th at 11:35 pm Police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of McTavish Avenue east. An intoxicated 33-year-old male was arrested as he was found to be the cause of the issues. He will be released in the morning.
