Simon Gagne had a goal and two assists as the Tampa Bay Lightning downed the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 in a National Hockey League exhibition game played in front of a crowd of 14,092 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg. Steven Stamkos, Blair Jones and Carter Ashton also scored for the Lightning who improved to 2-0 in the pre-season. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp, both born in Winnipeg, replied for the Blackhawks who were playing their pre-season opener.
