Break and Enter to Residential Storage Units

On December 27, 2023, police responded to a report that at least 12 residential storage units on Crocus Gardens Road were broken into between December 25 and December 27.  Suspects pried the door to gain entry, and once inside stole numerous items including 2 shotguns and 5 rifles, that were stored inside a locked cabinet.  Also stolen was an antique silverware set and dish.  Members of the Forensic identification Unit attended to process the scene.  Police continue to investigate.

Break and Enter to Business

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 4:00 am, police responded to a break and enter to a business in the 200 block of Rosser Ave.  Suspects gained entry by damaging a window.  Once inside they stole two fat bikes. Police continue to investigate.

Assault

On December 27, 2023, shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a domestic assault at a residence.  Police arrested a 33-year-old intoxicated male and lodged him at Brandon Police Service until sober.  He will be released to appear in court on January 29, 2023, on a charge of Assault.  The victim did not require medical attention.

 

IPDA

On December 27, 2023, at approximately 8:30 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the area of Cherry Crescent.  Police located the 31-year-old male who was not dressed for the weather and was in no condition to care for himself.  As he had nowhere to go, he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On December 27, 2023, at approximately 9:30 pm, police responded to a report of a 17-year-old female at a residence whose behavior was causing concern for her caregivers.  They were unable to keep her safe by preventing her actions from escalating.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until morning.

 

Breach of Release Order

On December 28, 2023, police responded to a report of a 29-year-old male inside an apartment building in the 200 block of 8th street.  The male did not reside in the building and was not welcome there.  He was also to abide by a daily curfew to be at a different address.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Arrest Warrants

On December 27, 2023, a 25-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service as she was aware she was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  Following her arrest, she was released to appear in court on February 1, 2024.

On December 27, 2023, shortly after 9:00 pm, police located and arrested 45-year-old male pedestrian in the 1400 block of 5th street as he was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On December 27, 2023, shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance between family members in a residence.  Once inside, members found that the 36-year-old male who was responsible for the issues was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to attend Court. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
