March 29th Report - Highlights for the past 24 hours:

Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

At 7:00 pm on March 28th police were called to the area of 9th Street and Pacific Av with regards to a male armed with a machete chasing someone.  Upon arrival police located two individuals, one of which was still in possession of the machete.  As a result a 24 year old female was arrested for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and a 31 year old male was found to have an outstanding warrant for Uttering Threats.  The male was lodged to appear in court in the morning and the female was released with an appearance notice to appear in court on May 30th.

Assault with a Weapon / Mischief Under $5,000

In March 2022 police responded to a call on the 100 block of 17th St where an object was thrown through a window and a fire extinguisher was sprayed inside.  At the time the object was thrown through the window a person was lying on the bed directly under the window.   A blood sample was taken from the broken glass and sent to a lab for DNA analysis.  The blood came back to a 17 year old female who is known to police.  She was arrested and released with an appearance notice to appear in court on May 28th.   

Warrants

Just prior to 9:00 am police attended to a residence on the 300 block of Dennis St with regards to a disturbance.  An 18 year old female was found to have an outstanding warrant for breaching her probation.  She was arrested and released with an appearance notice to appear in court on May 23rd.

Shortly after 9:30 am police attended to Brandon Correctional Centre to execute an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5,000 on an inmate.  A 27 year old male was arrested and appeared in court. 

Shortly after 11:00 am on March 28th a 25 year old male attended to Brandon Police Service to turn himself as he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. He was arrested and released with an appearance notice to appear in court on May 7th.

At 10:45 pm a 39 year old male was arrested from a residence on the 700 block of 6th St as he had an outstanding warrant for Assault Cause Bodily Harm.  He was held to appear in court in the morning.

Just prior to 5:30 am on March 29th police were called to a residence on the 1100 block of 4th St for a disturbance.  A 31 year old female was found to have an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5,000, Utter Counterfeit Money, and Failing to Appear in Court.  She was arrested and held for court in the morning.

Breach on Undertakings

Just prior to 1:00 pm police checked a 28 year old male on the 300 block 9th St.  The male was bound by an undertaking with a condition not to be in possession of incendiary devices and found to be in possession of a lighter.  He was arrested and released with an appearance notice.

Shortly after 2:00 am on March 29th police conducted a traffic stop on the 900 block of Louise Av.  The operator of the vehicle was found to have an undertaking with a 10:00 pm – 7:00 am curfew.  He was arrested and released with an appearance notice.

 

March 30th Report - Highlights for the past 24 hours:

Mischief

At 8:43 am, a call was received of a male causing a disturbance at a business in the 2000 block of Louise Ave. Upon Police arrival they located a 36 year old male who had damaged a urinal and was attempting to steal the hand sanitizer device. The accused was arrested and later released on an Undertaking.

At 11:50 am, an officer was in the area of the 800 block of Rosser Ave when he heard glass breaking. The officer apprehended the 25 year old male who had thrown a metal object breaking the glass pane in a door of a business. The accused was arrested and lodged for court in the morning.

Warrant for Obstructing Justice/Intimidation

At 11:21 am, Police attended to a residence in the 1500 block of 8th St at the request of the RCMP to arrest a 48 year old male on their outstanding warrant. The accused was arrested without incident on his outstanding warrant for Intimidation, Obstruct Justice and 3 counts of failing to comply with his Release Order. He was held in custody for court.

Resist Arrest, Failing to comply with Release Order 

At 3:00 pm, a 20 year old male was spotted in the 800 block of Pacific Ave who was known to Police to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. The suspect attempted to flee from Police but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. The subject continued to resist once apprehended. He was charged with Resisting arrest, failing to comply with Release Order, and had six offences on his outstanding warrants. He was held in custody for court in the morning.

Other arrests

Numerous other subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants and intoxicated disturbance related calls.

 

March 31st Report - Highlights for the past 24 hours:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

A 30 year old male turned himself in as he was aware Police were looking for him in follow up to a search warrant that was conducted in the March 24th at a residence in the 600 block of 10th St. The search located 113 grams of meth and 13 grams of fentanyl as well as other trafficking related materials. Ammunition was also located in the residence which is contrary to the accused prohibition order. He was also charged in relation to an ongoing investigation into a break and enter that occurred in the 900 block of Rosser Ave. The accused was later released on an Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

Impaired Driver

At 11:06 pm, a call was received of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway on Memorial Cres. Police located the vehicle with a 27 year old female passed out in the vehicle driver’s seat of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and later provided breath samples of over twice the legal limit. The accused was later released to appear in court at a later date.

Driving while Prohibited

At 4:18 am, a traffic stop was conducted in the 0 hundred block of 15th St and the 49 year old driver was found to be prohibited from driving. He was arrested and later released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.
