Voyeurism

On February 29th at 07:23 am Police were called to a residence on Cornell Bay for a male that was taking nude pictures of a 22-year-old female that was sleeping. A 30-year-old intoxicated male was arrested for sexual assault and voyeurism. He will be released for court on May 13th, 2024.

 

Impaired Driving Collision

On February 29th at 10:18 am police were called to a two-vehicle collision in the 1400 block of Richmond Avenue East. A black BMW and a White Dodge Charger had collided in the intersection. Police had received a prior call about the Dodge charger being driven by an impaired driver. No Serious injuries were reported. The 21-year-old male driver of the Dodge Charger was arrested for impaired driving. He provided breath samples that were twice the legal limit. He will appear in court on May 9th, 2024.

 

Assaults

On February 29th at 11:37 am Police were called to a business in the 00 block of 13th street north for an assault. A 39-year-old female maintenance staff member reported being attacked by a resident of the home. A 63-year-old female was arrested for assault. No serious injuries were reported. The accused was released for court on May 16th, 2024.

On February 29th at 2:17 pm Police were called to an institution in the 700 block of McDiarmid drive. A 16-year-old male was arrested for assault as he had punched a 17-year-old male several times. He was released for court on April 30th, 2024.

 

Domestic Assault

On March 1st at 04:01 am police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Franklin Street. A 25-year-old male was arrested for assaulting his 24-year-old girlfriend. No serious injuries were reported. He will be released in the morning for court on May 23rd, 2024.

 

Breach of Peace

On February 29th at 12:15 pm Police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 1200 block of 10th street. An intoxicated 30-year-old male was arrested as he was found to be the cause of the issues. He will be released in the morning.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 29th at 3:00 pm a 40-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service to turn himself in as he was aware he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was arrested and released for court on April 29th, 2024.

 

Carry Concealed Weapon

On February 29th at 2:35 pm Police were called to a business in the 400 block of Rosser Avenue for a male that was acting strangely and putting items in his pockets. A 29-year-old male was arrested at the business as he was found to be concealing a large machete in his pants. He was also found to be breaching his probation by carrying a weapon. He was held for court of March 1st, 2024.

 

Possess Dangerous Weapon.

On March 1st at 00:38 am Police conducted a pedestrian check in 1100 block of Louise Avenue. A 43-year-old male was arrested as he was on a court order to abide by a curfew. He was also found to have three knives and a hatchet in his possession. He was held for court on March 1st            

 

Theft Of Motor Vehicle

On February 29th at 5:50 pm a male reported his 2006 white Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from the 300 block of Maryland Avenue.

Break and Enter Residence

On February 29th at 10:14 pm police were called to a residence on Crocus Cresent. The homeowner advised they were watching TV when a male came running through their front door reporting her was being chased. A 38-year-old intoxicated male was arrested. He provided police with a false name and was also charged for public mischief. He will be released in the morning for court on May 6th, 2024.

 

Break and Enter Business

On March 1st at 05:23 am Police were called to a glass breaking alarm at a business in the 200 block of Rosser Avenue. When Police arrived, they found the glass window had been broken out and the owner advised a $6200 bright green Moose Electric bike was stolen. This matter is still under investigation.
