Arrest Warrants

On May 23rd at 12:05 pm Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 1st street north. A 29-year-old female was arrested as she had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She was released for court on July 16th, 2024.

On May 23rd at 4:12 pm a male came to the Brandon Police Service to turn himself in as he was aware he had an outstanding warrant for criminal harassment. The 25-year-old male was arrested and released for court on July 16th, 2024.

On May 23rd at 9:16 pm Police conducted a pedestrian check in the 800 block of Lorne Avenue. A 35-year-old male was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. He was held for court on May 24th, 2024.

 

Domestic Assault

On May 23rd at 3:01 pm Police received a call of a disturbance at a residence on Beach Boulevard. A 19-year-old male was arrested as he had assaulted his 19-year-old girlfriend. No serious injuries were reported. The male was later released for court on July 29th, 2024.

 

Failing to Comply with a release order.

On May 23rd at 7:00 pm Police conducted a pedestrian check in the 800 block of Princess Avenue. A 35-year-old male was arrested as he was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his release order. The accused was also found in possession of a machete contrary to his court order not to posses’ weapons. The male was held for court on May 24th, 2024.

 

Assault with a weapon.

On May 23rd at 7:41 pm Police were called to a disturbance at residence in the 600 block of 9th street. Officers located a 36-year-old male who had been stabbed twice in the chin and once in the cheek. He was transported to hospital in stable condition. The injuries were superficial and not considered life threatening. The suspect and victim were known to each other. The investigation is continuing. 

 

Breach of Peace

On May 23rd at 7:28 pm Police received a call of a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of 2nd street. An 18-year-old intoxicated female was arrested as she was found to be the cause of the issues. She will be released in the morning.
