The Keystone Center's Manitoba Room was home to the 2012 Westman Science Fair on March 13th.

475 students from 25 schools across southwestern Manitoba showcased 354 projects. The Westman Science Fair has been around since 1969. The fair provides an opportunity for students to show off their scientific talent for parents, teachers, judges and the entire community.

Pariticpants are from grades 1 through 12.

 

 

 

This year's Best of Fair went to a couple of students from Neepawa and Area Collegiate.

Tyler Stilwell and James McKay were recognized for their project "Bacteria vs. the Common Cleaning Myths. Runner up was Rashmini Shunmugam of Ecole Harrison school in Brandon.

Those three students were selected to head to the Canada Wide Science Fair taking place mid May in Prince Edward Island.
