Ste. Anne's Jocelyne Larocque and the rest of the Canadian National Women's Hockey team will play in the gold medal game on Monday at the 2011 World Hockey Championship in Zurich, Switzerland. Jayna Hefford scored 43 seconds into the third period and drew an assist on Hayley Wickenheiser's shorthanded goal at 8:18 of the final frame as Canada downed Finland 4-1 in Saturday's semifinal. Rebecca Johnston and Marie-Philip Poulin also scored for the Canadians who outshot the Finns 78-16. Michelle Karvinen scored the lone Finland goal beating Charline Labonté at 11:43 of the first period. It will be Canada's 13th consecutive appearance in the gold medal game which our country has won nine times. The United States has beat Canada in three of the last four gold medal games.
