The Killarney Mennonite Church will be hosting a Christmas celebration for the whole family this week Wednesday, November 30th, featuring stand-up comedian, Leland Klassen and musician Dan Macaulay in “Laughing All The Way"!  

Pastor Danny Groening says the two performers will be "bringing their collage of stand-up comedy, Christmas carols, musical silliness and improv out again for a one-of-a-kind Christmas event unlike anything your family (or neighbors) have ever seen! Designed to be friendly to all – young or old, church-attenders or not – we KNOW you’re going to be “Laughing All The Way!”  

"Some might be familiar with Christian comedian Leland Klassen," explains Groening, "He has been doing comedy all over the country for the better part of 20 years.  He's been featured on shows like 'Just for Laughs', comedy festivals and he's been part of a comedy special on Netflix, and so he is fairly well known in his circle!"

"He's a hilarious stand-up comedian but he's also got that special gift where it's appropriate for all ages, young and old, so we're really excited about that," adds Groening.

Musician Dan Macauley will also be taking to the stage with his comedic-musical entertainment.  "Dan is a Christian-contemporary singer-songwriter who is known for mixing music and comedy, and with a message in their too," he says.

"We haven't hosted an event in quite a while so we thought this would be a great way to 'kick off' the Christmas season with a great family event," he adds.

"You're guaranteed to laugh," adds Groening, "Hearing from other pastors who have hosted this event, they say it's their favorite event of the year!  In their words, when you get some people who think laughing in church isn't allowed, and you see them belly-laugh, you know you've hit a bullseye! Yes, we're really looking forward to Wednesday evening!"
