The Virden Theatre Production's version of Matilda the Musical will hit the stage of the Aud Theatre November 9-13.

The production has a cast of 40 and they've been rehearsing on a regular basis as the show dates approach.

“This is a show that was planned for the fall of 2020, and we know that didn’t work out as planned. Here we are back with much the same cast and we’re ready to entertain audiences and it’s a great show” said co-director Michelle Chyzyk.

“It has been interesting and rewarding to see these teenagers coming back to life again. They lost a lot during the pandemic, and we have a lot of adults to support them, and it has been great to have everyone working together on a big show.”

There’s a lot of competition for entertainment dollars and Chyzyk says their show has what it takes to make sure you are entertained.

“There are some hilarious moments and some touching moments. It’s well worth the ticket price of $25 to get into the Aud Theatre. The cast is outstanding, and I think the children will surprise people with their abilities” said Chyzyk.
