There was good political representation at a meeting Monday with the 2011 Flood Strategy Committee.
That from Co-chair Bob McCallum who says their goal is to rectify situation where excess water is released from Saskatchewan, flows into North Dakota and ends up in southwestern Manitoba.
He adds it's starting to feel like the region is just a dumping ground for that water.

McCallum feels the meeting was positive, adding he got the sense that officials are willing to take this issue to Ottawa.
He notes the committee has also received an invitation to speak with Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall as well.
