More flood problems for many farmers along the Assiniboine River.

Stan Cochran farms near Griswold west of Brandon and he says about one-third of his land is or will be under water. The Province of Manitoba this week increased the outflow from the Shellmouth Dam to allow for more water coming into the reservoir from Saskatchewan.

Cochran says lots of the flood plains is already uner water and this latest increase will take more land out of production for 2015.

"It's frustrating because the start of this spring didn't look too bad" said Cochran.

Cochran says it will take close to a week fro the new water to work its way to his farm.

"By the time the water is back inside the banks of the Assiniboine and the land dries up it will be too late to seed."
