Community Futures Westman will be holding a grant writing workshop for rural communities on Wednesday, October 5th from 12 to 2.

Event organizer and local analyst, Wendy Petersen, says this workshop is free of charge to those who want to learn how to write a more professional grant application.

"This is just an opportunity for people to come in and learn more about Community Futures, what we do, and how we can work with people in our region," shares Petersen.

The workshop will also be informational to those wanting to acquire a grant, and where to start.  "An organization might think, 'I have a project, how do I go about getting a grant?  What are the 'hot words' that need to be put into a grant these days that people are looking for to make my grant application rise to the top over others."
