The Brandon Chapter of Habitat for Humanity has four house builds taking place this summer, and one Brandon resident is doing her part to help raise funds!

Theresa Gibbons is a strong supporter of the organization that helps low income families own their own home.

As a volunteer, Gibbons will be hosting a fund-raiser this Saturday (July 16th) at the Home Hardware store on 18th street in Brandon, collecting donations for the build projects, specifically for the Women's Build project coming up in August.

"I really believe in this because everybody needs a place to call home, especially people with low income" she shares.  "There are lots of people in need right now, especially now with the pandemic.  So, I'm trying to do my part and help those people out."

Cash and cheque donations are welcome and all donations over $20 will receive a tax-deductible receipt.

"I hope to raise $1000 actually, and so I hope people will help us out!"

Volunteers will be at the Brandon Home Hardware (18th street location) from 9am to 2pm.this Saturday to collect donations for Habitat for Humanity, Brandon.
