It was one year ago today a deadly earthquake rocked the country of Haiti.
Brad Reimer with Mennonite Central Committee says they have a long history of serving in Haiti and so on January 12, 2010, M-C-C immediately poured its energy into relief work.
He notes that lasted about six months until M-C-C moved into its long term recovery and development mode, where it remains today...

Reimer says in terms of material aid, this is the largest disaster M-C-C has ever responded to and the relief agency has a five year plan for how it will help out.
He notes while donations are still trickling in, M-C-C is now encouraging people to give towards other projects if they are thinking about making a donation.
