$5.2 billion dollars in cuts over the next 3 years was outlined in Thursday's federal budget announcement.
Agriculture will see a scale back in federal dollars, over 19,000 federal public sector jobs will be eliminated and the production of the penny will cease.
Brandon-Souris M.P. Merv Tweed offers his thoughts on the plan.

Tweed adds this budget will create the environment for opportunities, noting these changes will encourage businesses with cash on hand to invest in the market.
With the cut backs outlined in the budget, the federal deficit will be slashed by 8.5 billion dollars this fiscal year.
