Attendance to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon was up over last year.

Fair organizers say 117,000 people took in the show, up 4.400 from 2010.

Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba President Neil Thomson called it a great week.

Thomson says the nice weather was the number one reason for the increased attendance.

Thomson says the main arena attracted great crowds. However he says the rest of the Keystone Center was also attracting lots of visitors because of the high level of entertainment and displays. The fair wrapped up Saturday night.
