February 21, 2022

Police received a report of a male not wearing a mask into a business in Boissevain.  Warning was given. 

February 22, 2022

Several highways in the area were closed again due to bad road conditions.

Police received another report of the same male refusing to wear a mask into a business in Boissevain.  The matter is under investigation and charges are pending.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Deloraine.  A female subject was driving a silver Pontiac Grand Prix. Subject started vehicle with a screw driver.  The matter is under investigation.

Police received a report of an injured deer that was run over on highway 3.  Caller stated that the deer ran across the road and slid underneath his truck, running over his hind quarters. He could no longer see the deer anymore but assumes the deer may still be on the roadway. Police attended the scene. Deer not located anywhere. Manitoba Conservation updated.

Police seized several handguns from a residence in Killarney.

February 23, 2022

Police received a report of a male unlicensed driver in Killarney.  Police checks show same is licensed (5L Class). Police cannot proceed with any charges for disobeying stop sign or any other traffic violations unless the complainant is willing to identify themselves and provide a statement. Police attempted to call the male subject and police left a message warning same about driving behavior and requirements of eligible supervising passenger with him as per his class of license.

Police received a report of uttering threats in the RM of Prairie Lakes.  The matter was unfounded.

Police received a report of a male refusing to wear a mask at a business in Killarney.  The matter is under investigation.

Police assisted with a matter under the Mental Health Act in Boissevain.

Police received a report of mischief in Killarney.  There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

February 24, 2022

Police assisted with a firearms matter in Killarney.

Police assisted with an animal protection order in the RM of Prairie Lakes. 

Police received a report that an unvaccinated truck driver was at the Boissevain port of entry. Border Services contacted Public Health regarding the truck driver not obeying quarantine rules, Public Health advised them to phone the RCMP to issue the driver a ticket. No further contact was required.

February 27, 2022

Police received a report of a white Ford Explorer, unknown license plate ran the port, and failed to report.  Upon reviewing their camera footage, it showed the vehicle came from Canada, into the States and they returned.   No other leads and significant time delay for police.

Police received a report that sometime between 16:00 yesterday and 13:00 today, someone stole a black GMC Sierra in Killarney.  The matter is under investigation.

Police received a report of trespassing in the Deloraine-Winchester area when a  Camo UTV and blue UTV with tracks had ventured onto private property yesterday.  On-going problems with subjects on weekends. The matter is under investigation.

February 28, 2022

Police received a report of a person bitten by a dog in Deloraine.  The matter is under investigation

Police received a report of theft in Killarney.  The matter was unfounded.

Police received a report from a traveller that he entered Canada and was asked to quarantine for 14 days since they failed to download and present the Arrivcan App. The traveller was educated that they  need to quarantine and can speak with Public Health to determine if they can work on the farm in an outdoor setting.  They were also education that police will be conducting an isolation check it the future.

Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle in the RM of Argyle.  The vehicle was towed as it was a danger and unregistered.

Police received a report of uttering threats in Boissevain. The matter is under investigation.

There will be a new process for criminal record checks.  Please call either Killarney (204) 523-7293 or Boissevain/Deloraine (204) 534-7262 and provide your e-mail address and phone number.  The criminal record check forms will be emailed to you to be filled out.  Complete and return by mail with a $10 money order made out to the Receiver-General; or a letter stating you are a volunteer.  The mailing address for Killarney RCMP is Box 490, Killarney, MB  R0K 1G0 and Boissevain RCMP is Box 25, Boissevain, MB R0K 0E0.

Police continue to remind residents to never provide personal information such as birth dates, SIN numbers, credit card numbers, or e-mail address to parties you do not know.  If you feel that you have been contacted by a fraudulent source, please contact police or Phone Busters Fraud Center immediately for further instructions on what you can do.  Phone Busters can be reached directly at 1-888-495-8501, however also report same to the local detachment.

We would like to advise that the business hours of operation at the Killarney Detachment are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. 

Boissevain RCMP will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
