Brandon based company, Premier Truck Group, put a challenge out to their community last Saturday that if their 'Fill the Freightliner' fundraiser could raise $5,000 in donations to support Samaritan House Ministries and the Community Health and Housing Association (CHHA) they would match it!

This, in addition to the non-perishable food items, blankets, warm clothing, hygiene products and more that they collected for these two nonprofits, filling several pallets at the back of their transport trailer that was parked at Montana's at the Corral centre parking lot!

Well, Westman! You knocked it out of the park!

Not only did cash donations meet the $5,000 mark, but surpassed by more than 2 times, with cash donations coming in about $11,000. With the cash match of $5000 by Premier Truck their total was just over $16,000 to be divided between the two organizations.

Samaritan House Ministries Executive Director, Barbara McNish says she was thrilled to partner with Premier Truck Group, who organized the event, and the CHHA.

"There were just so many amazing things that people brought, like sleeping bags, and it just showed how the community of Brandon and Westman stepped up, once again, to Fill the Freightliner, with the many food supplies that we need and the other items that we need for our programs, as well as helping CHHA," shares McNish, "which we are so proud to be part of that with them!"

"I know that we don't do this alone," she adds. "I know that God is our Provider and that he speaks to the hearts of people and He speaks to the heart of Brandon and the entire Westman area. People come in and they donate and you can see that in the likes of the events that we just had with Premier's Fill the Freightline, because they did knock it out of the park!
