Hello and welcome to the May Long Weekend edition of Made in Manitoba, one where we welcome a former colleague of ours to the studio to showcase some of his upbeat, small-town feel country music. Matt Zimmerman joins us tonight, fresh off an opening act performance less than a week ago in Brandon for Canadian country music star Owen Riegling.

Matt has been creating music for years while growing up in Steinbach, living in Brandon, vacationing at Clear Lake and Sandy Lake and now calling the village of Kleefeld home with his wife and recently born daughter.

The singer-songwriter and country music artist has released several songs over the past year, and tonight will be sharing a special in-studio performance of his latest song "Should Have Gone Fishin", and we can't wait for that later in the program.

It's Matt Zimmerman on Made in Manitoba, and you can enjoy his brand of feel good country music and conversation with Chris, below on Made in Manitoba.
