Jesse Toth scored his third goal of the game 1:39 into overtime to lift the Gladstone Lakers past the Neepawa Farmers 7-6. Jory Geddes added two goals and three helpers while singles went to Tom Coutts and Gabriel Beaulieu. Kyle MacDonald had two goals and three assists for the Farmers. Nolan Speiss, Garrett Rempel, Reigan Buchanan and Benoit Mowbray had the other Neepawa goals. The Lakers moved two points ahead of the Minnedosa Bombers in the race for first place in the Tiger Hills Hockey League’s East Division. Gladstone has two games left and the Bombers have one.


In the Westman High School Hockey League – Noah Wharf made 30 saves as Vincent Massey defeated Major Pratt 4-2; Dylan Hood had a goal and four assists as Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur downed Deloraine/Hartney 11-1 and the Dauphin Clippers scored eight third period goals en route to a 13-6 win over Roblin/Grandview/Gilbert Plains.


The Southwest Cougars dropped a 6-2 decision to the Eastman Selects Sunday in Beausejour. Nate Robson and Luke MacKenzie did the goal scoring for the Cougars who have six games left and are one point ahead of the Interlake Lightning in the race for the final playoff spot in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League.


Owen Pederson scored his second goal of the game 2:42 into overtime to lift the Winnipeg Ice past the Calgary Hitmen 5-4. Carson Latimer, Easton Armstrong and Graham Sward also scored for the Ice who led 4-2 until Oliver Tulk and Sean Tschigerl scored power play goals 1:20 apart late in the third period.


Cole Maier, Leon Gawanke and Dominic Toninato did the goal scoring as the Manitoba Moose edged the Toronto Marlies 3-2 at Canada Life Centre.
