Intimate Partner Violence

On the morning of 2024-04-25, police attended to the 100 block of 1st Street after receiving a report of a male assaulting a female in public. The male suspect was located and arrested for assault and the victim did not sustain any injuries.  A check of police records further revealed that the accused is bound by court conditions to not communicate with the 37-year-old female victim.  A 43-year-old male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-04-26 for the charges of Assault and Breach of Undertaking X2.

Theft Under $5000

On the morning of 2024-04-25, police responded to a report of a theft of $160 in merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue.  A 39-year-old male suspect was identified and located still in area.  The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-07-04 for the charge of Theft Under $5000.

Theft Under $5000

On 2024-04-13, police received a report from a business in the Corral Centre as an individual that had stolen $1125 worth of merchandise on two separate dates.  Through video surveillance, a 34-year-old male was identified and on 2024-04-25, the suspect was located in the 1000 block of Rosser Avenue, and subsequently arrested for the outstanding thefts.  A check of police records has revealed that the accused is on bail for 22 outstanding charges.  To prevent a continuation of offences, the male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-04-26 for the charges of Theft Under $5000 x2.

Theft Under $5000

On 2024-04-13, police received a report from a business in the Corral Centre as an individual had stolen $1700 worth of merchandise.  Through video surveillance, a 55-year-old male female was identified and on 2024-04-25, she was located at a residence in the 200 block of 8th Street.  The accused has been released with conditions to appear in court 2024-07-04 for the charge of Theft Under $5000.

Breach of Peace

On the evening of 2024-04-25, police were patrolling the 100 block of Pacific Avenue when an intoxicated female was found to be in distress.  As the individual could not care for her own well-being at the time of the interaction, the female was lodged at BPS until sober.

Mischief to Property Under $5000

On 2024-04-04, a business in the 1100 block of 18th Street, reported 3 youths had damaged several stalls in a bathroom, in addition to discharging a fire extinguisher resulting in approximately $5000 in damages.  A male youth suspect was previously arrested for the incident on 2024-04-17 and charged with Mischief to Property Under $5000.  On 2024-04-25, a 15-year-old male turned himself in to BPS and was subsequently released with conditions to appear in court 2024-06-25 for the charge of Mischief to Property Under $5000.  The third youth co-accused will be charged at a later date.

FTC Release Order

On the evening of 2024-04-25, police attended to a business in the 0 hundred block of 10th Street after receiving a report of unwanted patrons.  A 32-year-old female was determined to be bound by a court ordered curfew which she was failing to comply with.  The accused was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-04-26 for the charge of Failure to Comply with Release Order.

Possession Break and Enter Instruments

On the evening of 2024-04-25. Police attended to a business compound in the 1500 block of Moreland Avenue, as staff reported that a male was in the secure area and attempting to access vehicles.  The suspect was determined to have fled prior to police arrival and a K9 track successfully resulted in the arrest of male hiding in long grass.  A 37-year-old male was found to be in possession of tools to aid him in accessing the compound.  The accused has been lodged and BPS and will appear in court 2024-04-26 for the charge of Possession of Break and Enter Instruments.

Assault with a Weapon

On the morning of 2024-04-26, police responded to report of two females fighting inside a business in the 700 block of 10th Street.  Investigation revealed that as disagreement occurred between the involved individuals, whereby a 21-year-old female suspect threw several store items which struck the 27-year-old female victim.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  The accused was determined to be intoxicated by alcohol and was lodged at BPS, where she will be released when sober with conditions to appear in court 2024-07-18 for the charge of Assault with a Weapon.
