Boissevain School’s annual food drive takes place Monday night.

The collection of non-perishable food items has been taking place over the past number of years and it’s all in support of the Boissevain Food Pantry which services people in the area.

Alaina Adams in a high school teacher and Student Government leader. “Students will be going door to door tonight, but you can also leave your items on your front step and students will pick them up as they go by.”

Students will meet at the school at 5:00 p.m. and the food drive will start after that. Collection of food items should be completed Around 7:00 p.m. Monday evening.

Roughly 20 students along with members of the high school hockey team will take part in the food drive.

“I hope students see people are in need and they can make a difference by doing something as simple as the food drive for the pantry and they are making a difference. Last we noticed because of covid there are people living in isolation and I hope when students go, they remember that, and they are a bright spot in some people’s day.”
