ACC Culinary Arts Students
The 5th annual Grey Owl restaurant in Brandon proved to be another big hit with patrons.
The restaurant opens 5 weeks every year so students at Assiniboine Community College can practice and showcase their talents.
Kyle Zalluski is an instructor with the Culinary Arts program. He says the restaurant is a great learning tool for the students.
The restaurant is extremely popular and available seating goes quickly.
The Grey Owl closed for the season just last week. They fed about 70 people each night over the 5 week period.
Eric Vansanten of Brandon is a second year Hotel and Restaurant Management student at ACC. He says students get excited about the restaurant becuase they have to put into practice what instructors have been teaching in the classroom.
He says it is a team effort right from the kitchen to the front line workers in the restaurant.
