Mounties staged a fake car crash yesterday in front of 150 students
in Winnipeg to try to scare them straight about texting and driving.

Corporal Miles Hiebert says texting and driving
remains a huge problem with young drivers.

He says young drivers are going to text and drive whether it's
legal or not and they want to show them how dangerous it can be.

A 53-year-old Winnipeg man was killed earlier this month after
head-on crash with a 19-year-old who was allegedly texting at the
time.
