Brandon-Souris MP Merv Tweed is pleased to be back home for the holiday season.

Parliament has wrapped up sitting until late January. Tweed says the session got off to a good start but then the opposition failed to support a number of bills.

Tweed chairs the federal transport committee. He says his group had a productive session and got through lots of legislation.

The Tory MP plans to spend the next several weeks reconnecting with constituents.
