Brandon Mayor Shari Decter-Hirst is pleased to hear the Province plans to continue with highway infrastructure work around the city.

Premier Greg Selinger told AMM delegates the Province will continue with its 10 year plan to renew highway infrastructure.

Decter-Hirst says completion of the city's eastern access is good news.

The Province plans to pave 3 kilometers for a new service road along the Trans Canada Highway, on either side of Highway 10.

The Province also plans to pave 2.5 kilometers of PTH 10 from the eastern access to Aberdeen Avenue.

18 kilometers of the Trans Canada between Carberry and Sydney will be paved including the shoulders.
