The Keystone Centre in Brandon will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary next month with a host of events and activities!  The Keystone's 50th actually landed in 2023, however they wanted to 'do it right!' states Marketing Manager, Jared McKenzie.

Built in 1973, the Keystone Centre was a joint venture between the City of Brandon, the Provincial Government and the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba.

"We wanted to make our celebration accessible to the entire community, whether that be Brandon or Westman as a whole!" says McKenzie.

Westman residents are all too familiar with the 5,102-seat main arena known as Westoba Place, being the home of the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, and the Professional Bull Riding event!  The Keystone houses iconic events like Manitoba Ag Days, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, Manitoba AG EX, Stars on Ice - and many stars on stage in most every genre in the music realm.

The half-century celebration will feature live performances on their outdoor stage.

"In addition to that we're going to be having tons of other exciting things," adds McKenzie.  "The Western Canadian National Car Show is going to take part, and there will be a family zone, farmers market, fireworks at the end of the night, and hopefully more to come!"

"This is very exciting to be able to host our 50th this summer!"

The Keystone Centre's 50th Anniversary Celebration takes place Saturday, June 15th.
