The Brandon Wheat Kings will wrap up their three game homestand with a pair of games this weekend. The Wheat Kings will host the defending Western Hockey League champion Calgary Hitmen tonight and then play the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. The Hitmen are in last place in the Eastern Conference with just four wins in 20 games this season. Brandon is 11-12-0-1 after dropping a 4-2 decision to the league leading Portland Winterhawks this past Tuesday.

 

 

CJRB's Barry Lamb asked Grandview native and Wheat Kings defenceman Ryan Pulock how it felt to be selected to play for Team West and compete at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Winnipeg and Portage next month.

 

 

 

Russia captured the 2010 Subway Super Series after they skated to a 5-2 win over Team WHL in the series finale on Thursday night in Prince George. With the win, the Russians finished with a 4-1-1 record for their first series victory over the CHL in the eight-year history of the event. Brandon Wheat Kings forward Scott Glennie picked up an assist last night.
