Last year officials with the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba had a limited amount of time to put together the 2022 Royal Manitoba Winter Fair (RMWF) but that isn’t the case this year.

The winter fair is held annually during Manitoba’s March spring break. A tourism highlight in Western Canada, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is one of Western Canada’s largest agricultural events and the largest annual event in Brandon,

The RMWF is just over two months away and General Manager Mark Humphries is pleased with how the show is coming together. “We’re well on track and we have meetings twice a week and we’re getting ready to compile our entertainment lists and the exhibitor packages are starting to show up on our website.”

Organizers are excited about the fact there are lots of new trade booths that will be setting up shop at the RMWF the last week of March.

“Lots of new booths and also lots of the old favorites as well. So it’s going ahead full steam. This year we not only have more time to plan the show, but we have the entire Keystone Centre at our disposal. Last year we lost a room because it was designated as a COVID injection site. This time we have all the rooms back so things should be buzzing.”

Mark Humphries is eager to see how many people make the effort to come out and enjoy the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.

“The trends around the country show people want to get out and socialize and this time we want to see everyone smile. That’s this year’s theme “Show us your Smiles. A smile cheers everyone up especially the children. There’s nothing like a smile to cheer everyone up. Especially the children when they go to the petting zoo or they go see the dogs in the main arena so we’re looking forward to seeing lots of faces and smiles,” said Mark Humphries.

The 2023 Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon runs from March 27th to April 1st.
