4-H programs have been in full swing and regional rallies are coming up quick!

The Boissevain and Area 4-H Rally will be taking place on Thursday, June 6th at the Boissevain Ag Grounds.  The event draws 4-H members, families and alumni from across southwestern Manitoba.

Local Boissevain club leader, Victoria Nowazek, is very pleased to have Minto 4-H alumni Chris (Wear) Quigley to be sharing with her fellow 4-H members as keynote speaker.  "We've invited her back to talk about what she's done after high school and her family and how her experiences in 4-H have prepared her for her future life."

This is the 88th year for the Boissevain & Area 4-H Rally with 4-H Manitoba reaching the 90-year milestone!

"This has been quite the tradition over the years," shares Nowazek. "I've been reading in preparation for our 90th anniversary and I've been reading articles written since 1967 of the 4-H Rally.  And just to see all the events happen and how we still continue a lot of those traditions today is remarkable.  There is something for everyone!"

On Rally Day folks can visit with the kids and their horses and cattle, as well as the project displays from the different categories and interests.

The projects will be located in the Boissevain Curling Club and the public is certainly welcome to peruse the displays and chat with the members.

There will be a special 50/50 draw where all funds raised will go towards the Boissevain & Area 4-H Rally.
