More vaccine clinics are lined up for three Westman communities between October 3-7.

All Manitobans aged 18 and up are eligible for the bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccine. The bivalent vaccine has been developed to provide protection against two strains of COVID-19: the original strain of the virus and the omicron variant.

Clinics this week include:

Brandon – Shoppers Mall Near Smitty's – Thurs. Oct. 6 – Noon to 5 pm

Erickson – Southquill Food Bank – 46 Main St (WALK IN ONLY) Wed. Oct. 5 – Noon to 3 pm

Hamiota – Community Centre – 39 4th Street Thurs. Oct. 6 – 2 pm to 6 pm

Health officials say it's recommended that people wait six months from their last dose to get their bivalent booster vaccine, as this provides the best immune response. However, the minimum interval between a person’s last dose and their booster is three months. The COVID-19 vaccine is also available for ALL children ages six months and up. Child
