The Boissevain Curling Club will celebrate a milestone in 2015.

The 2015-2016 curling season will mark the 125th year the club has been affiliated with Curl Manitoba. Club President Henry Janssens says they are organzing a 125 bonspiel for later this year.

"We would like to see as many people as possible and of all ages particiating in a community bonspiel to celebrate the fact we are one of the older clubs in the Province of Manitoba."

The Boissevain Curling Club is asking people to dig out their old photos, curling gear and any trophies that will help show what has happened at the club over the past 125 years.

"We want to put the items on display at the bonspiel and we would appreciate it if curlers from days gone by would loan us their items for the display" said Janssens.

As for this day and age Janssens has been the President for five years and he says their curling numbers aren't climbing but he says they are holding steady.

Janssens thinks the community bonspiel will happen in late October or November.
