If you're sick and tired of the frigid weather, it looks like we might have some bad news for you. Chris St. Clair from the Weather Network says it appears we're in for several more weeks of below normal temperatures across southern Manitoba.

St. Clair notes the extended cold throughout the month of February was unusual.

St. Clair says southern Manitoba has been trapped in a cold, stable air mass, and temperatures likely won't return to the March average until the middle part of the month. He notes until then our daytime highs will generally be five to ten degrees below what's considered to be seasonal.

St. Clair adds the real concern is whether March will go out like a lamb, because if we have a rapid thaw the flooding situation across the province may be a little more elevated than it's been in the past.
