The Southwest Cougars completed a weekend sweep of Kenora beating the Thistles 3-2 Sunday in Northwestern Ontario. Hudson Morrison scored twice including the winning goal 4:11 into the third period. Cameron Rowat also scored for the Cougars who rallied from a 3-1 deficit after forty minutes on Saturday to beat Kenora 5-3. Southwest goaltender Brian Archibald stopped 25 shots. The Cougars, who won their sixth straight game, improved to 12-4-0-1. Southwest leads the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's West Division by five points over the Brandon Wheat Kings and Central Plains Capitals.The Cougars will play a pair of home games in Souris this weekend against the Interlake Lightning and the Eastman Selects.
