Tuesday, June 25th will see 29 students walk across the stage in the Killarney School gymnasium during their Graduation Ceremony.

Vice Principal, Sheri Haney, is in her second year at Killarney School in this role.  "We're looking forward to a gym full of parents and friends and family just to support our grads!"

It's only her second year of getting to know this graduating class of 2024, but Haney says this is a vibrant group of students.

"They are just excited to take on the world!  For the last two years I've watched them strive to meet their own personal goals on their personal journey," shares Haney. "I've gotten to know them through teaching some of them and also just from sitting down following their credit trackers.  They would come to me with questions just to make sure they're on the right track and asking information on scholarships; where can I apply for this and that."

"So, it's just been great to see them curious and making their journey their own personal one," she adds. "I'm excited for what lies ahead for them.  That class of 2024 is ready for their next chapter, that's for sure!"

Haney says several graduates are heading off to Brandon University, some will be attending the University of Manitoba. Others will pursue education in agriculture, and another in aviation, still others in the culinary arts.  "There are so many students that are willing to do so many different things and so many things to try, and some students will be wanting to prepare and make some money so they can pursue some kind of education afterwards."

Please listen to more with Sheri Haney below, and she shares the special message from the Killarney School's valedictorians, Elora Wiesner and Graeme Lovett!

Exams are finishing this week for these 29 graduates, and then the final touches will be put on the plans for next Tuesday's graduation ceremony.
