Reeve Bob McCallum

The Reeve for the RM of Morton says his council has been talking about vehicle safety and the speed limits heading into Boissevain.
McCallum says a lot of traffic comes into Boissevain each day and the municipality is loking for ways to make sure motorists are slwoing dwon to the speed limit at they enter Boissevain. He says it's a real concern on the north side of town where the school is located.

The solar powered speed signs cost around $5,000 dollars. McCallum says they plan to approach some local groups such as the Boissevain-Morton Foundation to see if the project is worthy of funding.
McCallum says there haven't been any serious accidents but the RM just want to remain proactive when it comes to safety in the area.
