Our TV screens and computer inboxes have been filled with images of the emergency in Nepal -- A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck on Saturday. The earthquake is reportedly the worst to hit the poverty-stricken South Asian nation in more than 80 years. It began before noon local time Saturday. A 6.6-magnitude aftershock hit an hour later, and smaller aftershocks have continued to ripple through the region for hours, leaving people devastated and fearful.

Samaritan's Purse, the Christian International relief agency, whom we hear from most frequently at Christmas with Operation Christmas Child, has sprung into action, with staff and emergency supplies already on the way. Frank King, is with Samaritans' Purse, and joined us from Calgary to talk about the event.
