Good news for snowmobiling enthusiasts looking for an extended season.

More snow is forecast for Western Manitoba and that will help to keep snowmobile trails open longer.

Gord Weidenhamer of Deloraine is president of the Southwest Snow Trackers and he says their trails are still in pretty good shape. He adds with more snow hitting the region the hundreds of kilometers of trail system should remain open for a few more weeks but it all depends on the weather.

For some areas, tomorrow's dump of snow will be the biggest of the season, with all of Southern Manitoba expecting at least some snowfall from this system.

Snowfall Warnings are in effect for the southwestern corner of the province, as far east as the Pilot Mound and Manitou areas.

Heavy snow is expected in those regions tonight through Saturday, with the potential of up to 20cms by Sunday morning.
