More details from the RCMP on last night's fatal accident south of Brandon.

 

Last night about 7:30 Blue Hills area RCMP as well as local Emergency Services attended a fatal two vehicle collision in the RM of Cornwallis.
Police say a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier was northbound on Rd. 113 west when it was in collision with a 2004 Ford Escape that was westbound on PR 349.
The driver and lone occupant of the Cavalier, a 24 year old male from the RM of Cornwallis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Ford Escape were transported to local hospital with minor, undetermined injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Neither speed nor alcohol are considered a factor in the collision at this time, however, seat belt use is being investigated.
Road 113 west is controlled by a stop sign.
The name of the deceased will not be released. Police continue to investigate.
