Dylan Cozens scored twice as Canada shaded Switzerland 3-2 at the 2024 World Men’s Hockey Championship in Prague. Canada leads the Group A standings with 17 points. Czechia has 15 and Switzerland has 14. Canada will play its final preliminary round game Tuesday against Czechia.


Aerin Frankel made 30 saves as Boston defeated Minnesota 4-3 in game one of the PWHL’s best-of-five Walter Cup final. Taylor Heise had two goals and an assist for Minnesota.


The Collingwood Blues are Centennial Cup champions. Jack Silverman scored the only goal of the game on the power play four minutes into the second period and Noah Pak made 23 saves as the Blues blanked the Melfort Mustangs 1-0 in the gold medal game in Oakville, Ontario.


The Winnipeg Goldeyes season opening 10-game road trip came to an end Sunday afternoon in Kansas City. The defending American Association champion Monarchs plated four runs in the bottom of the 8th inning and beat the Fish 10-6. Rob Emery homered for the Goldeyes who play their home opener Tuesday against the Chicago Dogs.
