The Winnipeg Ice are one win away from advancing to the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference final. Daniel Hauser made 30 saves as Winnipeg beat the Warriors 5-3 in Moose Jaw. Mikey Milne, Jack Finley, Owen Pederson, Matthew Savoie and Cole Muir did the goal scoring as the Ice who lead the best-of-seven second round series three games to one. Game five is Friday in Winnipeg. 


The Manitoba Moose are still alive in the Calder Cup playoffs. The Moose scored five unanswered goals and downed Milwaukee 5-2 at Canada Life Centre. Morgan Barron, Jeff Malott, Leon Gawanke, Nicholas Jones and Luke Johnson scored for Manitoba. Winnipeg's Cody Glass and Jimmy Huntington replied for the Admirals who lead the AHL's Central Division semifinal two games to one. Game four in the best-of-five series will be played Friday at Canada Life Centre. 


The Winnipeg Goldeyes lost their pre-season finale 4-1 to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Max Murphy drove in the Goldeyes lone run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Fish will open the 2022 American Baseball Association season against the Redhawks on Friday at Shaw Park.  


It's day two of Winnipeg Blue Bombers rookie camp. Todays practice session is from 10:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Winnipeg Soccer Federation South Complex. Main training camp is scheduled to begin on Sunday depending on the ongoing collective bargaining discussions between the CFL and the CFL Players’ Association. The Blue Bombers first pre-season game is May 23rd against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina.
