It was the Brandon Wheat Kings most lopsided loss of the 2010-2011 Western Hockey League season. This past Saturday's 9-0 drubbing at the hands of the Edmonton Oil Kings was also the Wheat Kings worst home-ice loss in five-and-a-half years. Brandon is seven points back of the Prince Albert Raiders who own the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
CJRB's Barry Lamb asked Brandon captain Shayne Wiebe to talk about their loss to the Oil Kings.
The Wheat Kings will end their four-game homestand with a pair of games this weekend. Brandon will host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday and the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday. Wheat Kings goaltender Liam Liston will play in the CHL Top Prospects game tonight in Toronto.
