Wheat Kings Win Again

Brandon captain Shayne Wiebe scored two of the Wheat Kings four powerplay goals in a 6-2 victory over the Swift Current Broncos. David Toews and Michael Ferland also scored while Brandon enjoyed the manadvantage. Scott Glennie and Mark Stone had the other Wheat Kings goals. Corbin Boes picked up his second win of the season stopping 28 of 30 shots. Brandon outshot Swift Current 42-30. Saturdays win over the Broncos marks the Wheat Kings first winning streak since they posted back-to-back-to-back wins over Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Regina in mid-November. Brandon will begin a four-game road trip Tuesday when they meet the Hurricanes in Lethbridge.
